CloseDialog

CloseDialog()

Preserves the no-argument call described by the historical eAdvpl guide.

CloseDialogAdvPL
01 · OVERVIEW

Overview

The eAdvpl reference guide, section 3.3, describes CloseDialog() for closing a window with no arguments or applicable return. It does not identify dialog selection, closing validation or current include compatibility. We do not replace that signature with CloseDialog(oDlg) or treat it as a universal synonym of oDlg:End(). The example only defines a historical callback to connect to the corresponding eAdvpl context after checking support. For current dialogs, consult the actual class lifecycle. (Guia de referência eAdvpl, n.d., p. 11, ref. 1)

02 · SYNTAX

Syntax

CloseDialog()

Return value

No applicable return in the historical reference; do not infer a confirmation result.

03 · PRACTICAL EXAMPLE

Commented example

#Include "Protheus.ch"

User Function Ed302()
    Local bClose
    // eAdvpl reference: only prepares the action without closing a window.
    bClose := {|| CloseDialog()}
Return Nil
Expected result

Block prepared; not a closing or persistence test. Under review: editorial example neither compiled nor run in Protheus. Check includes, release, RDD and context before testing.

BEST PRACTICES
  • Check the available implementation before compilation. Do not mix eAdvpl APIs and current classes without documentation.
  • Under review: editorial example neither compiled nor run in Protheus. Check includes, release, RDD and context before testing.
