AdvPL good practices guide
Validate input → calculate → handle external effectsOrganizes readability, context and maintenance decisions.
Overview
The official guide groups conventions, structure, performance and techniques. This subset turns that scope into practical review: declare locals, separate calculations from external effects, validate types and release owned resources. It is neither a full reproduction nor a universal style requirement. The example calculates a total in memory with explicit validation. (Sources: refs. 1–1.)
