IsDirtyAdvPL
01 · OVERVIEW

Overview

Guide section 2.19 describes true for an inserted or changed record. Its example inconsistently associates transmission messages with that description; we neither reproduce it nor infer synchronization state from it. The reference does not establish support in current TOPCONN RDD. This block is only a historical subset for a compatible eADVPL environment. (Sources: refs. 1–1.)

02 · SYNTAX

Syntax

IsDirty() -> lChanged (historical eADVPL)

Return value

Logical according to historical guide; current support unconfirmed.

03 · PRACTICAL EXAMPLE

Commented example

#Include "Protheus.ch"

User Function Ed496()
    // Do not execute without a validated area and historical runtime.
    Local bChanged := {|| IsDirty()}
    ConOut(ValType(bChanged))
Return Nil
Expected result

Prepares block B without reading a record or transmitting data. Under review: editorial example neither compiled nor run in Protheus. Check includes, release, RDD and context before testing.

BEST PRACTICES
  • Do not use as proof of commit, locking, transmission or audit. Confirm the target-runtime contract before integration.
  • Under review: editorial example neither compiled nor run in Protheus. Check includes, release, RDD and context before testing.
