F060VBCO

F060VBCO()

Additional user validations in FINA060/FINA061. Listed purpose and structuring a custom rule before entry point integration.

F060VBCOFINA060FINA061
01 · OVERVIEW

Overview

The official Financeiro P12 index describes F060VBCO as an entry point for additional user validations in FINA060/FINA061; its specific page is under construction. (TOTVS, n.d., ref. 1) The settlement entry point list repeats that purpose. (TOTVS, n.d., ref. 2) The sources located do not confirm the full call, arguments, execution timing or return value. The name does not prove a specific banking validation. F060VBCO() below identifies the entry point without establishing a complete signature. This page is under review, based on indexed evidence with restricted full access. The example separates messages from a fictional rule; it neither implements nor replaces F060VBCO.

02 · SYNTAX

Syntax

F060VBCO()

Parameters

Entry point context
UndocumentedContext to confirm

Context is undocumented in the evidence located. Do not infer fields, aliases or PARAMIXB positions from the entirely authored helper arguments.

Return value

The return value and effect on standard processing are unconfirmed. The example message array belongs to the helper and must not be returned by F060VBCO without caller evidence.

03 · PRACTICAL EXAMPLE

Produce messages without coupling the rule to the entry point

#Include "Protheus.ch"

User Function ExF060VBCO()
    Local aErrors := ValidateCase("", 0)
    Local nIndex := 0

    // Two errors are expected for this fictional input.
    // Presentation is separate from the rule collecting messages.
    For nIndex := 1 To Len(aErrors)
        ConOut(aErrors[nIndex])
    Next nIndex
Return

Static Function ValidateCase(cIdentifier, nAmount)
    Local aErrors := {}

    // Local exercise arguments do not represent Protheus fields.
    If Empty(cIdentifier)
        AAdd(aErrors, "Enter the exercise identifier")
    EndIf
    If nAmount <= 0
        AAdd(aErrors, "The exercise amount must be positive")
    EndIf
Return aErrors
Expected result

The helper collects and displays two messages: missing identifier and nonpositive amount. Input valid under the fictional rule produces an empty list. No messages do not authorize a Protheus operation; integration depends on the actual contract. The example has not been compiled or run in Protheus.

BEST PRACTICES
  • Describe the business rule and expected results before choosing an entry point; confirm that its execution timing fits the need.
  • Separate validation logic from message presentation and writes. This allows the rule to be checked independently.
  • Prepare valid input, invalid input and multiple errors; determine whether the process should report all failures or stop at the first.
  • Once the contract is confirmed, test validation effects on confirmation and cancellation in FINA060 and FINA061 separately.
  • Record observed release, patch, call and return value; preserve work areas if integration queries aliases.
COMMON PITFALLS
  • Inferring bank fields or mandatory criteria solely from the VBCO suffix.
  • Returning the helper array, .T. or .F. without checking the caller.
  • Confusing absence of example messages with permission to record a collection batch.
  • Adding writes to validation before confirming transactions and error handling.
