F290BROWFINA290mBrowseExecBlock
01 · OVERVIEW

Overview

FINA290 is the Payable Invoices routine. (TOTVS, n.d., ref. 4) The official index associates F290BROW with it, with documentation under construction; the call list records ExecBlock("F290BROW", .F., .F.). (Refs. 1–2) In Alessandro de Farias’s catalog dated 2008-09-07, the call appears immediately before an entry containing mBrowse for SE2. (2008, p. 137, ref. 3) Listing proximity is historical evidence, not proof of the complete sequence in current releases. GitHub searches found no implementation.

02 · SYNTAX

Syntax

ExecBlock("F290BROW", .F., .F.)

Parameters

PARAMIXB
Undocumented contextContext to confirm

The recorded call supplies no fourth argument. This does not document usable PARAMIXB contents or establish available private variables, browse objects or aliases. Do not assume PARAMIXB[1] contains an object or filter.

Return value

The published line contains only the call, with no assignment or return condition. Return type and handling remain unknown. There is no basis for recommending .T., .F., NIL, a filter or a column array.

03 · PRACTICAL EXAMPLE

Documented call without an implementation

// Call listed by TOTVS and the Farias catalog (refs. 2–3).
// No fourth argument; return handling is absent from this excerpt.
ExecBlock("F290BROW", .F., .F.)
Expected result

Identifies the F290BROW call without demonstrating a working customization. It is neither an entry point implementation nor a standalone executable program.

BEST PRACTICES
  • Before implementing, locate the complete call in the target release and patch and inspect the routine region where it runs.
  • Do not interpret BROW as a contract to return filters, columns or buttons. The available line documents none of those options.
  • The historical catalog includes mBrowse and SE2 in the next entry; this does not establish that SE2 is open or positioned inside the entry point.
  • Do not transfer the F290BFIL, F290BTIT or F240BROWSE contract. Similar identifiers belong to distinct calls.
  • Editorial test plan: after inspecting the caller, observe screen opening, return and closing while preserving the work context. Do not introduce writes to test whether the entry point exists.
  • Under review: not compiled or run in Protheus. Official indexes consulted through indexed evidence; historical catalog page 137 inspected directly. Minimum version and transaction position unconfirmed.
