RetExtMnu
RetExtMnu() -> cExtReads the historical menu extension.
Overview
The manual describes a current-language extension for menu. It identifies a file convention from that product era; it does not prove a file exists, determine access rights or replace a current translation API. The historical call has no arguments. The block is not invoked because its result is environment-dependent. (Sources: refs. 1–1.)
Syntax
RetExtMnu() -> cExtReturn value
Character: extension in the historical reference.
Commented example
#Include "Protheus.ch"
User Function Ed625()
// Environment-dependent historical lookup; block not invoked.
Local bExtension := {|| RetExtMnu()}
ConOut(ValType(bExtension))
Return NilCreates block B without assuming a language or returned extension. Under review: editorial example neither compiled nor run in Protheus. Check includes, release, RDD and context before testing.
- Verify the API in the target release. Never infer user access from an extension name.
