SET BITMAP

SET BITMAP nBmp TO oObj

Associates a bitmap with a historical control.

SET BITMAPAdvPL
01 · OVERVIEW

Overview

Historical eAdvPL reference, section 3.22. Syntax depends on that implementation’s macros and platform; current SmartClient support is unconfirmed. nBmp identifies an image resource; oObj must support it. The guide does not define file loading through this call. Resource numbers are neither paths nor universal across platforms. The caller supplies the identifier, avoiding an invented resource number. (Sources: refs. 1–1.)

02 · SYNTAX

Syntax

SET BITMAP nBmp TO oObj

Parameters

nBmp
NumericRequired

Environment bitmap identifier.

oObj
ObjectRequired

Target control.

Return value

No useful return documented in this subset.

03 · PRACTICAL EXAMPLE

Commented example

// Fragment: verified resource and existing control.
SET BITMAP nBmp TO oObj
Expected result

Proposes associating a resource with a control without reading an arbitrary file. Under review: editorial example neither compiled nor run in Protheus. Check includes, release, RDD and context before testing.

BEST PRACTICES
  • Verify includes and graphical context in the target release. The fragment assumes the stated objects; it is not a complete application. Do not use in headless execution.
  • Under review: editorial example neither compiled nor run in Protheus. Check includes, release, RDD and context before testing.
